Little gem of a place. You’ll have to wait for 40mins but kamameshi meals really take that long. They will cook it in front of you. This is such a Japanese experience.

Very impressed with the steam rice. Don't expect the luxury premium restaurant. it's really the mum and dad shop around your neighborhood. A meal cooked by your aunt. Tasteful, rich, carefully prepared. And yes, she let the rice steam for 40 minutes in front of you. Don't go there if you are super hungry.

This eatery is run by 2 elderly women who are hospitable and friendly. For those who are facing language barrier, do keep in mind that the countdown timer (typically 40mins) indicates the time it takes for the food to be cooked. Once cooked, give it a good stir to avoid overcooking and burning the food. The rice bowls are cooked to order and steamed right by your side - perfectly fresh and fragrant!
