It was a different store since I was a child, but the bakery in Torisen was in the Trianon environment, so I've been using it for over 40 years. Mentaiko French bread and garlic French bread at this shop are really delicious and big and cheap. Cheese French bread is also available, but even if you take a heap on a tray, it doesn't cost 1,500 yen.

A bakery located in two supermarket Torisen stores (Gunmacho store, Sugaya store) in the suburbs of Takasaki city. Although the scale is small, there is a wide selection of nostalgic cooking bread and sweet buns that are different from today's trendy bread. All delicious and reasonably priced. Their popular items are koppepan and butter buns filled with jam, margarine, and peanut butter. Of course, there are modern products, but they are all original and attractive. My recent favorites are the "W Cream Cheese", which is cream cheese in the bread dough topped with plenty of diced cheese, and the "Sei-chan Brand Grilled Curry Pan", which is filled with umami-rich curry. Cheese bread lovers, curry bread lovers, try it once.

The female clerk was very polite and helpful. The bread, called pumpkin pudding, was stuffed tightly inside and felt like a good deal. I will be using this again.
