Kumagaya, Saitama, Japan｜Home Bakery Kitaoka

A few weeks ago, I moved from Germany to Kumagaya. As a german, I really appreciate a good bakery. And this little baker is the best I could wish for. The products look and taste so delicious. The owners are heartwarming friendly. I could never imagine, to find this treasure so close to my house. I really recommend this shop as a lover of good bakery items. Es ist super lecker 😋

Kitaoka Home Bakery is small but produces great bread and other baked goods. Their baguettes are some of the best I've ever had. That's astonishing to me: I'm from San Francisco and have eaten some really good French bread. Their muffins and various snack breads are great, too, as is their pain de campagne.

It was my first time visiting the store. The bread has a soft texture, which I like 😌 Cream and red bean paste are not too sweet and just right. And above all, the customer service was very pleasant. Even though he was busy, the owner came out to greet me, and I received a lot of free mini bread. I want to eat carrot bread next time.
