Hakone, Kanagawa, Japan｜Bakery Aya-pan

The most delightful bakery with both sweet and savoury treats and a kind and generous owner. Everything we got was delicious! We didn’t even have photos because we ate everything so quickly. We went to Bakery Aya-pan to get a small lunch and see more of Hakone before heading home. It was raining that day and we arrived soaked. When we went to pay, the owner went to the back and brought us an umbrella! It was a very kind gesture and we want to say thank you again. Thank you for making our trip so memorable. We’ll be back for more melon pan!

Really genuine feeling bakery off the beaten path of Hakone. Great pastries. Tried the pain au chocolat, melonpan, cookies and cinnamon bun.

Sakura anpan something truly wonderful, and also the bread with a saisage inside was soft and delicious. Maybe the best bakery I’ve ever been in. Also staff was very friendly! And the prices affordable!
