Tateyama, Chiba, Japan｜Tomisaki Bakery

Excellent artisinal bread made with their own natural yeast culture, at prices competitive with ordinary supermarket junk bread. Closed Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday. A young family business, Tomisaki Bakery opened about six years ago. The owners moved from Tokyo to this fishing village and converted an old Japanese house into a commercial bakery, shop, and living quarters. They open at 10am and close at 4pm or earlier if all sold out out. Four parking spaces available, two near the path to the bakery and two (actually more) in the vacant lot at the bottom of the hill (across from the sea).

Wait, is there a bakery in a place like this? A natural yeast bakery that is open from early in the morning in a place that makes you think. The yeast used is made from cherry blossom petals. I've been coming to Tateyama a lot lately, and it's close to the accommodation I've stayed at several times, so I used it to get breakfast during my last stay. There are many kinds and it is delicious. Delicious bread makes you happy.

The shop is right near the inn and came for a walk in the morning. The moment you enter the shop, you can smell the good smell of wheat. The more I chewed the campagne, the more it tasted like wheat, and the bacon, shrimp and cream cheese bread and curry bread were all really delicious. Next time I come to Tateyama, I want to eat it again, I will definitely eat it.
