It was similar to Akabane style in Kanto. However, unlike Kanto, everyone in the shop is polite and smiling. It was very comfortable.

Hyotan is a standing bar located near the north side of Kyoto Station. There are many standing izakaya in this area, but the cost performance and menu are very satisfying. It doesn't look fancy, so it's easy for single office workers to enter and stay there. The payment method is cash-on-delivery, so all you have to do is leave around 1,000 to 2,000 yen on a small plate on the counter, and the owner will then pay for each item on his own. Clear accounting and cheap! There are no charge fees or appetizers! I am very satisfied with everything including tax. The photo shows the evening drink set (2 glasses of sake + assorted side dishes) for just 1,000 yen.
