Toyohashi, Aichi, Japan｜Genkotsuyama

My acquaintance and I popped in. It was a weekday night, but the place was almost full. I was lucky that there was an empty seat. After reading the reviews, I found out that it was a popular restaurant. I think it would be safer to make a reservation next time. Well, all the food was great! Of course alcohol! The dotuni, meatballs, quail eggs, fried chikuwa, and tomato pork rolls were all delicious. I love Sapporo Akahoshi Beer. And wine with yakitori! ? This was wonderful. It was my first time drinking domestic wine, Hitomi Winery from Shiga. red and rosé. It was a little cloudy and had a slightly sweet and sour taste that went perfectly with the food. I was very happy that the staff explained things to me in detail despite their busy schedules. I was seated at the counter, so I could see inside the kitchen, and it was great to see the team work to support the very busy chef. Yakitori seems to take a lot of work to prepare, so every time I eat it, I feel like I have to thank the person who made it. An acquaintance (who was visiting from the Kanto region) was also very happy with the taste of Mikawa. He said he definitely wanted to go again the next time he came.

This is my favorite yakitori restaurant in Toyohashi. What I personally like is It's duck, heart, and green onion. The seasoning of salt was good, and the sauce was just right, not too thick. It's hard to find in Toyohashi. It's great to be able to pair Junmai sake with yakitori. Cold sake is good too, but It goes great with warm sake too!
