Akashi, Hyogo, Japan｜鮨 双樹

Best sushi in town. Worth every yen.

I popped in for lunch by myself. For 3,500 yen, I was able to enjoy highly satisfying sushi. Personally, I found the addition of sudachi skin (I think) to the salt toppings to be very refreshing and delicious, and the steamed conger eel was fluffy and had a good freshness to it. I also enjoyed having the octopus served in two ways: raw and grilled. The sushi rice was lukewarm and had a mellow acidity, making it delicious. I will visit again when I go to Akashi!

It's a counter-only shop, but it's very comfortable and the food is delicious, so I highly recommend it! There are many sushi restaurants in Akashi, but I think this is the best place to casually enjoy proper cuisine.
