I love that this place is in a quiet city away from Tokyo. It's a gem. So relaxing away from the crowds. The traditional building and garden are both beautiful, amazingly maintained. Such a warm feeling. I went with my wife for her birthday. We had the most expensive lunch course. It was worth every penny. The food was incredible. I never thought tofu could be so interesting. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The service was spot on too. The staff were all very friendly and explained the dishes to us. I can't eat some shellfish so they substituted it with another type of fish. All the guests have individual dining rooms spread out around the grounds with a lovely view of the garden. We will definitely come here again!

What a great meal here. The restaurant is beautiful with a garden in the middle that makes you completely forget you’re in the biggest city in the world. The staff are extra polite and the service was outstanding. The tofu was something else, kinda extraordinary, as the varieties and tastes were all different and delicious. Come here if you’re into tofu, or if you want an authentic dining experience.
