Meguro City, Tokyo, Japan｜Nakameguro Komeru

i don’t always write reviews, but i had such an incredible time today at this restaurant! i wanted to take my mom, who was visiting me in japan, somewhere special, and this spot was the perfect place. the entrance was lowkey and felt like we were a part of some secret club, while the interior was modern and classic i loved the elegant meals / plating, and the pacing of the course was perfect. the dishes were so flavorful and complex. i was really impressed by how well the chef was able to speak english, and how well he and the manager coordinated the entire meal while also maintaining fun conversation the cost was really reasonable, especially for some of the best rice i’ve probably eaten in my entire life. when i left, both akane-san and koto-san both sent us off at the door, and were incredibly kind during our departure. i will definitely come back to say hi and eat another glorious meal with them soon!

Wow! This was an incredible meal. The chef was so kind and went out of his way to translate and explain the menu to us. Every dish was well constructed and interesting. Be warned, the entrance is very hard to find so arrive early. A bargain for the quality of food!
