I visited her to help her recover in a gentle way for her body, which had been weakened by various things. Due to the time constraints, it was just after 3:30, so I was able to get in easily without a reservation. I was looking forward to eating Kyoto Minokichi without putting too much effort into it. There were courses and single items on the menu, but I ordered Minori based on the number of items and contents. Shortly after, the delicious sashimi arrived with a choko and a small amount of pickled plums. Ah, it definitely tastes like it's soothing (but not soothing because the amount is small). Afterwards, we had appetizers including shiitake mushroom sushi, chestnuts, tonburi (tonburi), and other seasonal vegetables, and one of our favorites was the white miso bowl. Although it is simple, it has a deep flavor that warms your mind and body. Following the steamed mushrooms with mukozuke, we move on to deep-fried sweetfish with roe and matsutake mushrooms, which will make you forget the bones are there, and then in no time you'll have the turnip bathtub. The irresistibly soft turnip and miso paste with sesame and yuzu flavor harmonized so well that I even drank the juice from the turnip. With the lingering aftertaste still lingering, I moved on to the matsutake rice with a bowl of red miso, and while I was refilling it, I was glad to hear that the pickles were actually irresistibly delicious. Finally, it finishes with pears and grapes. My heart was cleansed (lol).
It's cheaper than Minokichi, but the interior has a more casual atmosphere than Minokichi. All the clerks seemed to be part-time students. The atmosphere seems to change depending on the type of customers present, such as loud Chinese people and crying babies. For reservations on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, orders of 5,000 yen or more are required. The Matsutake Mushroom Special Gozen took quite a while to serve, and I was full by the time I finished the third dish. The fried sweetfish and matsutake mushrooms were delicious.
