Singapore｜Seletar Hill Restaurant

A hidden gem in the seletar hill area. Was recommended by a local gourmet, and pleasantly returned home with a belly full. Must try their smoked duck, aromatic and full of favours. The general's chicken is tender and a great dish to empty a bowl of rice. On top of these wonderful dishes, the desserts here are just incredible, so much so that the whole table was silent because all are busy gulping down their share. Oh yes, the price is quite affordable as well. ~40 per pax for five hungry sportsmen is a great deal at the current climate of high inflation.

Extremely nostalgic and home cooked feel. Call to reserve in advance. There is outdoor n indoor seating. Indoor has air con but very noisy. Mostly big tables for big groups. Camphor tea smoked duck was super crispy yet tender. I'm not a huge fan of the tea taste but enjoyed it nonetheless. General tsao chicken was also very yummy and crispy. Enjoyed the French beans too and thankful that they agreed to swap the minced pork for minced chicken. The beancurd with red grouper was a bit of a letdown however - we were only given 4 miserable pieces of beancurd!! And it was one of the most expensive dishes we got. The stars of the dinner were the $2.50 desserts - so good and so reasonably priced, we had 2 each!! Both cendol and durian pudding were delectable. Service is polite, but it can take a while to get them and for food to be served. Would definitely be back again.

Price is reasonable. Food was good just the spacing between table to table is squeezy
