Despite the industrial canteen setting, don't be deceived—this place serves incredibly delicious food at remarkably affordable prices. I'm a frequent patron, especially when I have visitors or during special occasions. The standout dish is the chili crab—it's generously portioned and bursting with flavor. In fact, I find the value here superior to many pricier, touristy restaurants. The affordability is a definite plus.

We have dine here before and it is our second visit. Love the fish head, try the bee hoon with pig trotter very nice. All their food are worth to try. The portion is big and we definitely are full. Even it is in the industrial park, the atmosphere is brighten by the big red lanterns. Will definitely come back again.

First visit here, brought by a foodie friend whom have patronised them for years. A rather famous hokkien cuisine restaurant which I did not know about. It was a well-organised 10pax table with a 9-course meal. Paying about $62 each pax. These are the dishes we had: - Cold dish appetisers - Braised Sea Cucumber - Hongkong Style Red Grouper - Roasted Suckling Pig - Braised Abalone w Broccoli & Mushroom - Golden Cereal Prawns - Golden Seafood Roll - Braised Pork Bun - Yam Paste with Pumpkin Everything was good. Special mention to the cold dish, red grouper, suckling pig, cereal prawns and pork buns. On a side note, if you are ordering suckling pig, it needs to be ordered in advance of about 2-3days for them to prepare. Kian Seng gets rather crowded quickly during festive periods although the place can easily sit up to 500pax. It is a good option to make your reservations up to 3 months in advance for festive periods. So do book now for your CNY reunion dinner next year.
