Singapore｜Din Tai Fung

As usual, great food! The taste is consistent throughout. The rest is all about dining experiences. This outlet has the typical challenge of having sufficient service staff during peak hours.

Always a great meal. We normally don’t eat at the Seletar Mall outlet but decided to do so this round. Food was still as good, consistency is a big plus. The food prices have gone up over the years but the fried rice is well worth it. Their shrimp and egg fried rice is very well done with perfectly cooked shrimp but a favorite is the pork chop fried rice. The Xiao Long Bao is obviously what made this place famous but their chilli oil wontons are equally something to shout about. The vegetarian starter at $6+ has been a staple for our regular visits. The vinegar-y dished is delicious, but if I had to switch it up I would trade this for a hot & sour soup which gives a good portion size for the price. If you need a consistently good meal, then I highly recommend paying Din Tai Fung a visit.

The chicken soup noodles were lovely as usual but the Xiao long bao didn't come piping hot. Service was attentive and quick. Very impressed by the bowl of sliced ginger when we asked for more.
