08 November 2023 Wednesday Lunch Celebrated 2 girls’ birthdays with lunch at 11.30am (table of 5) Food was excellent - started off with the Jin Deui Golden Sesame Balls, light and crispy and so totally enjoyable, a definite must-order. We also ordered some dim sum dishes - Har Gao (Crystal prawn dumplings), Siew Mai, Steamed Pork Ribs, Steamed Chicken Feet, and crispy Charsiew Buns, all executed perfectly. Another must-order is the egg-tarts, served fresh and hot from the oven. We were surprised to see the jovial Chef Tony come out with his tray of freshly baked Bolo Buns, and we promptly ordered 2 to eat, and 5 to dabao back. We also ordered the Sweet n Sour pork on ice - very interesting, with the ice creating that sweet, sticky texture on the crispy pork - delicious! The stir fried radish cake with XO sauce was very tasty, as was the crispy eggplant in salted egg sauce. In addition, we had the fish slices in stone pot, which was delicately flavoured to bring out the freshness of the fish. We truly enjoyed this! Ended our meal with Chef’s Special Pao Fan - loved the slices of lup cheong and salted fish, with juicy mushrooms. Then, surprise, we were treated to a cube each of refreshing Jujube Jelly, to finish our meal. It was a delicious lunch with dishes served at a good pace. I’ll definitely return for another meal!

Service staff were all very friendly, even the head chef came out to say hi! The food is really good. IMO the must tries are the sweet & sour pork on ice - its super crispy and is a hot dish, the egg tarts, and the Sesame Seed Ball or Jin Deui (煎堆). Didn’t get to try many of their items but will definitely come back to try more.

Love the soup and sweet and sour pork. Must order - claypot rice and pao fan! Chef Tony comes around to chat with us. Such personal and friendly service 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
