Singapore｜Pok Pok Thai Kitchen

Been patronising Pok Pok Thai since we discovered this place during Circuit Breaker and had ordered delivery from them. Favourite dishes include claypot prawn vermicelli (tasty and rather addictive), tomyam soup (both the creamy and clear versions, depending on mood), chopstick chicken (crispy and well-seasoned with lemongrass... Brings us straight back to Thailand!), red ruby dessert with jackfruit (though there was no jackfruit today), etc. Great variety of dishes to order from. Exciting! Service is minimal over here. We have experienced various kinds... From the one who reminded us repeatedly from 2.30pm that they close at 3pm to the one who thrusted a stack of rough black paper onto the table for us to write or own order, to scanning a QR code for order today. Payment is by cash, PayNow or Grabpay. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. They were also kind enough to allow us to dine at the further tables outdoors with our little puppy whom we carried. Thankful for this!

Went for dinner with some friends (including an infant). Plenty of open spaces as it was around 8.30pm. We opted to sit outside. The staff was friendly and the service was quick as well. Food was well prepared and tasted great. The only downside was the smell of cigarettes from all the people smoking in surrounding areas. Maybe if we sat inside this wouldn't have been an issue.

Decided to dine here because they allowed my pup to be with us in the outdoor area and WOW was I surprised by the food quality. Price was super reasonable, portions were good, and quality was there. Yum! All these here for $25, could properly feed 3pax but we over ordered for 2. Well worth it and I would definitely come back to try more food again. Come with more people! 1. Basil chicken rice - perfect runny, fried egg, and holy basil chicken. Above average. 2. Green curry- very fragrant and lots of ingredients. Good for 2 to share. Right amount of spice. 3. Tom kha soup - YUMMY. Very thick. A lot of ingredients, coconutty, good for 3 to share. 4. Red ruby - $3 and so good. Chestnut from the rubies well done. Good for 2 to share. Will be back to try more! Plus points for letting my pup hang out while we eat. If I have to nitpick- there was ash floating around from the paper burners that were too close. Not any fault of the shop but something they could feedback on maybe? Didn't enjoy paper money floating into my food while I was enjoying it. Thankfully the ash blew over only when the wind was strong.
