Went to Phoon Huat and then dropped by the coffeeshop for lunch, I saw a few aunty uncles eating the curry fish head, so we wanted to give it a try. It was lunch time but there was no crowd at all, therefore we didn't wait for too long for the food. The staff were patient and polite to us as well. With $25, we got a meaty fish head, rich curry gravy, crispy beancurd sheet, taupok, lady fingers, tomato & eggplant. I found that it was quite affordable! (We usually paid $28~$35 for curry fish head at other places) We have enjoyed the curry fish head very much!

Good quality food at reasonable price. Good to dine in with well decorated environment that does not look like coffeeshop. Had pork curry rice and white bee hoon. Was good.

For 3 of us, we ordered the pork ribs, sambal kangkong and clay pot bean curd with 3 rice. Total $29.10 ... I like that they deep fry the pork ribs first then coat with savoury sweet sour sauce. The sambal kangkong was also delicious. Fried with enough "haebi" giving it a robust sambal belachan taste. I've eaten the same stuff elsewhere but it was another level up over here. Highly recommended. Sorry for not having photos as we walloped the food and then realising after that we should have.
