This is one of those Fried Hokkien Mee that I will come back again. It is dry version but still has bits of broth even towards the end of savouring the plate. While it does not have very strong wok hey, it is very flavourful. Be prepared to wait for a while even during non peak hours.

For the uninitiated to the central north of Singapore like me, Eng Ho is definitely in my books well deserving of the top 3 spots of the best Hokkien Mee in Singapore (Come Daily and Swee Guan occupies the other 2). Their flavors are so pronounced with a good amount of wok hei. The texture of the noodles is well balanced, not too soggy nor Al dente, allowing it to be slurped up enjoyable. They command a long queue in the evenings and is one of the few stores opened then, making it a hawker dominator. Do note of their opening hours as they are not opened for lunch at the time of visit.

One of the can make it hokkien mee stall. This dish is dying. Not many people can replicate the taste and flavour. When I see them say no pork, no lard I am very disappointed. So this stall is still authentic. Waited about 30min which is correct because hokkien mee takes some time time for the gravy to merge with the noodles. Of course due to technology some stall have managed to fine tune it but is still not as authentic.
