Singapore｜House Of Seafood 螃蟹之家

Visit Date : 31 Aug 2023 We have patronised House of Seafood in Upper Serangoon, when they were in Joo Chat, but the best location to us is in Punggol. Right next to the sea, with an open yet quiet outdoor setting, with a choice of spacious indoor seating (they have that in the other outlets as well), the setting is very comfortable. This time we noticed some new ornate outdoor seating arrangements as well . It is kind of ritualistic now, to visit House of Seafood @Punggol, when kids or close friends are in town. Perhaps the reason is the warmth of the place. The servers are friendly, not everyone of them is very conversant in English however you get a feeing of warm welcome in the smile and the food is good, of course Coming to food, although we visit around 2 to 3 times a year, we end up ordering more or less the same food. We start with Broccoli with minced garlic, followed by de-shelled cereal prawn - the hint of sweetness coating the creamy prawn. We go straight to their signature dishes after this. I am not a fan of black pepper - crab or anything else for that matter, but their Black Pepper Crab dish is juicy, mildly hot and feels quite rich and good after a bite. My all time favourite is their Chilli Crab. I cannot say whether the juicy crab is better or the rich creamy red sauce with fried Mantou. We also order a side of rice. This time it was seafood fried rice which was delicious. We also get some Lime juice, Thai coconut and or watermelon juice to go along. Each and every time it is a heartening experience

Great food! The seabass is very fresh and chili crab is just good combination of spicy/sweet/sour. We were not able to take pic before eating so attaching these instead.

Excellent food with excellent service… First time trying the chili crab and it was fantastic! Truly enjoy the dining experience here. Will definitely visit again!
