Singapore｜Different Taste Cafe & Restaurant

This restaurant serves Asian and peranakan food mostly. Restaurant is clean and spacious with a wide selection of food. The waiter was very nice to recommend us dishes knowing it's our first visit. His recommendations were on point! Penang fried kway teow was flavourful and had "wok hei", can fight with the ones we had in Malaysia! Fried prawn roll (hae jor) cost $14 - not the cheapest with only 6 slices but it was a delicious dish - crunchy on the outside with well-marinated ingredients in it. Nasi lemak was tasty too, the rice was especially fragrant. Another good point is that there's no GST and service charge!

Nice home-cooked tastes that remind one of great times with family and friends. Except for the yee mee (a tad too soft & soggy), the rest were superbly cooked. Even the Penang-style charkoayteow had the heaty tange of 'wokhei'. Despite a big crowd on weekends, the kitchen was quick and service was friendly.

It’s still one of the best eating place in the east coast with wholesome goodness. They churn out almost every local tze char to restaurant favourites.
