Mei Yuan Restaurant has been Katong’s all-time favourite ❤️ The restaurant from post-war Singapore brings back memories and nostalgia. Located along East Coast Road, opposite to the Church of the Holy Family, they continue to serve authentic roast duck, chicken, and pork belly, not forgetting char siew. Nothing has changed. And we love it the way it has always been, day after day, year after year, and decade after decade.

The roast duck was very nice, noodles were done well. The accompanying soup had a nice sweet taste, which was very unexpected and so delicious!

Love this place. The noodles is done just right 'al-dante' with the springy-ness still in it. The roast duck is super meaty and tasty! Others things to notice is the old grandfather clock on the wall, and also the roof awning can be manually opened using a long rod to let in sky light (and it's closed by pulling the string attached to it)
