Singapore｜Tonkatsu by Ma Maison @ Jewel

The cuisine is outstanding, albeit a bit pricey. They offer complimentary refills of rice, miso soup, and cabbage. It's worth mentioning that the miso soup is exceptionally tasty. The service is attentive, friendly, and sincere despite the restaurant being bustling. I'd definitely consider revisiting, if not for the notorious wait times.

Always a queue when I came, and I love how the crew is always so steadfast its like they are operating at top performance. Some of the crew are very good with children also. And I like that toys were given to keep them occupied. We ordered the pork loin set, which is a little dry, in my opinion, and the Mille Fuille Pork set, which has cheese in it. The cheese was very little and could barely taste it unless we checked it was there. I like how pearly the rice is and that there are free refills for the cabbage salad, tonjiru, rice, and tea. The variety of sauces to go with your katsu is endless. My personal favourite is the shoyu with radish and a tinge if mustard on the cutlet.

I just came back from Japan when I visited this store. It didn't disappoint me and give me the satisfaction after eating their set meal (I would be more critical as will definitely compared to the Japan one). The ingredients are fresh and portion just nice. It is nice gesture in Singapore where they still serve you tea for free where most of the restaurant here will charge extra fees. The rice is of good quality so another plus. Kudos to the friendly crew as well.
