Bacaro was a lovely surprise, a small cosy Italian Restaurant my family has walked by on many occasions we decided to finally book a dinner and I have to say we experience both a great dinner in a great atmosphere. Fantastic food with great service. Being family run you can feel the passion that goes to the food and preparation plus making sure the customers have a great experience. We decided to try the Omakase Set Menu, the pictures do not do it justice. The flavour and quality of the ingredients, the work that went into making the fresh Basil Sauce, the flavour packed homemade Tortellini down to the Tiramisu were all superb in texture and taste. The beef steak was a surprise, delicately cooked medium rare with iintense flavours, better than some steakhouses I've had.

Bacaro, nestled in the heart of Greenwood within the quiet neighborhood of Bukit Timah, is a charming Italian restaurant exuding a warm and inviting ambiance. We were instantly welcomed by Elena & Chef David from the moment we stepped in. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel right at home. The essence of a traditional Venetian Bacaro comes alive through the expertly crafted dishes by Chef David Marchiori. During our visit, we had the pleasure of sampling a delightful array of Italian dishes. On our table were Gnocchi con ragu de bistecca, Filleto de angus con patate arrosto, rigatoni alla carbonara, and broccoli. The Gnocchi con ragu de bistecca showcased an exquisite blend of flavors, while the Filleto de angus con patate arrosto impressed with its juicy perfection. The rigatoni alla carbonara cooked with pork check and covered with creamy cheese was a truly an authentic Italian cuisine, and the addition of broccoli added a refreshing touch. To end our lovely evening, the Original Tiramisu stood out as a must-have, rounding off the meal on a sweet note.😋 The personal touch, and a delectable menu curated by Chef David makes it an enjoyable place for Italian food enthusiasts seeking an authentic gastronomic experience.

It's a nice, quaint, authentic restaurant that serves quality food. We really liked all the dishes. The meat balls were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The eggplant was well done but a bit more on the bland side. The beef and pork filling was very fragrant. The Parma ham fried pizza was really good too. The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The cheese was very tasty and the taste overall blended together very well. The scallops were very tasty and fragrant. The truffle risotto was delicious. The truffle was fresh and wasn't overpowering. The cheese was great too. The carbonara was alright. It was served with pepper, which was interesting. The taste was good, but the pasta was a bit too hard for our liking. The braised beef cheek was very delightful. It was crispy on the outside and so tender on the inside. The taste wasn't overpowering as well. The burrata and truffle was good too. The taste is perfect. The beef tenderloin was a bit overcooked (we ordered medium rare but was served more like medium). But no complaints on the taste - the meat was well marinated. We ordered three tiramisu - the espresso (which was our fav), rum (this was very good too, and the taste of rum was strong enough for our liking) and normal tiramisu (this was good but a bit more sweet compared to the rest) Overall, a very good meal and the service was excellent. The pace at which the food was served was great too. However, do note that there's a minimum charge per diner when a reservation of more than 6 pax is made on the weekends / PH.
