Singapore｜Nam Kee Chicken Rice Restaurant

Old school decor feel from the 1980s. First time here and decided to try the steamed chicken rice. Must say I was delighted by the softness of the chicken and fragrance of the rice. Chilli was not too garlicky and black sauce was thick. Definitely a yes for me in the taste department since chicken rice is one of my favourite local dish. Liked it so much that I bought it back for lunch for rest of family. Last test to bring the chicken home in case the taste changes but it is still as good. Definitely worth returning. Maybe I will try the roasted chicken version? ;)

Was pleasantly surprised that all dishes were more yummy than I thought. Give a 8.2/10. Will definitely return for other dishes. Please keep up the standard!

For more than 40 years, the wall tiles are the same and the very good picture. A childhood chicken rice staff, even before boon tong kee got famous. Now is the 3rd generation... The old man used to sit at the cashier to collect the bills. The orange coin phone not sure if it still works. The place is as bustling as it used to be
