Singapore｜The Charcoal Grill Legend (炉火传奇)

A rare Chinese restaurant in the north. I have eaten crayfish and grilled fish before, but I didn’t take any photos. This time I ordered a lot of stir-fried dishes, and the stir-fried veal with chili was amazingly delicious! The jelly suits my taste as always, and there are many dishes I haven’t tried yet. I’ll try others next time.

I recently revisited this restaurant, and it's safe to say that the positive experience from my previous visit held true. Ambiance & Service: The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Despite the hustle and bustle, they made it a point to check in on our table periodically, ensuring everything was up to par. Food Highlights: This time, we decided to try the Lychee Mixed Chilies Flavored Grilled Qingjing Fish, and it did not disappoint. The fish was incredibly tender and fresh, with a tantalizingly appetizing flavor. Moreover, the portion size was notably generous. Another standout dish was the skewers. With a wide variety to choose from, we opted for potato, garlic, beef, chicken, and pork. Each skewer was well-seasoned, prompting us to order more. The meat was tender and had that delightful chewiness we crave. Notably, the prices were reasonable for the quality. Family-Friendly Touch: To top it off, they surprised our kids with complimentary popcorn, which was a lovely gesture. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience that left us happy and satisfied.

The grilled fish here is particularly tender and delicious, unlike other grilled fish I have eaten that were dry. And the portion is very sufficient. The grilled fish set for 2 people is $49.90, which comes with 2 bowls of rice and 2 drinks. I personally think it is well worth it. Will try other dishes next time. The waiters are also very friendly and kind. No wonder the tables are full every day.
