Singapore｜Lao Huo Tang 老火汤

First time dining here and was delighted by the superior preparation of their dishes. The steamed chicken with fragrant mushrooms and classic Chinese sausages was sublime, with the quality juicy meat infused with the flavours of the mushrooms and sausages. Their signature lotus root soup was chock-full of ingredients like lotus root (of course), peanuts, dried squid (making the soup distinctly flavourful) and pork ribs boiled till tender. A saporous meal!

Presentation might not be good, but the soup and dishes were delicious. Prices were also affordable. Would recommend this place as a go to restaurant for lunch with colleagues. The White Radish Pork Rib Soup with Wolfberries was full of flavour. We also ordered the vegetarian fried rice and Crispy Toufu with minced meat. All were very tasty also.

Love the soup and other dishes such as steamed egg (prob best i have eaten in Singapore so far), bitter gourd, french bean, etc. Great for family dining. The Star Vista outlet is imo better than Marina Square one.
