Singapore｜Maru Korean BBQ Buffet 마루

We came to this place by chance, wanted to try to find a new place far from where we all live. Surprised to find this Korean bbq place - the unlimited beef buffet turned to be a good option. Though we planned may rounds of refill, two rounds for 4 people turned out to be enough. We were surprised initially that the grilling didn’t actually require any lard/ tallow. Instead they suggested the way to cook: use the fattest meat and add the rest. Good strategy to avoid using extra fats. Nice balance of meats: I personally liked the bulgogi. the side dishes were also very good. Recommend this place for a nice gathering with friends with delicious tasting meats.

Great price for a buffet. Great vibes with free stuff like soup for a main. I was seated outside and the heat was fun. Go for the beef specifically because its awesomely softer. Some meat are pretty tough like the pork collar so best not to over order. Ended off with orange and watermelon which is sweettt. Finally, they gave free yoghurt drink which helped with the digestion. Will visit again should there be a gathering.

Maru is a great place to hang out and have a good delicious meal of korean bbq and soju/korean beer. The price point is quite attractive and the quantity they serve is quite decent even though they are ala carte buffet style. The waiting time is a little slow but the lady boss/manager is very patient and customer oriented. Note that you will smell like bbq after the meal as there is little to no exhaust to vacuum away the smoke.
