Singapore｜Lao Sichuan Restaurant (Tiong Bahru) 老四川 (中峇鲁)

Most hits, a few miss... the 水煮鱼，辣子鸡，汤圆dessert were amazingly good. But the 酸辣粉，abit disappointed as i was expecting more ingredients like the peanuts, coriander etc. Overall the service is fast and good and quite a quiet environment for good conversation among friends as the tables are well spaced out.

Visited Lao Si Chuan on a Saturday afternoon with a couple of good friends. The deathly silence in the restaurant and questionable decor made me wonder if I was in the wrong place (Later I would learn that it gets very packed for dinners!). Thankfully I was with excellent company. The food tastes really good (verified by people from China :)) and every item had good strong wok hey. When visiting, please order (minimally) the to-die-for prawns and the cumin beef. There is this lovely husband wife tripe beef lung thing (strangely there is no lung in it) which comes highly recommended too, but if you don't like innards, stay far. I would definitely visit Lao Si Chuan again :D
