Singapore｜En Ramen

I’m amazed and this has gone on top on my list of ramen places. The soup base is creamy and light and doesn’t leave you feeling thirsty even after drinking the whole bowl. The portion is just nice too and I could finish the whole bowl comfortably. Noodles of good texture and egg was perfectly executed. Meat was soft and very flavourful too. I’ll definitely be back!

Tl:dr i didn’t eat the ramen! I ate the Japanese Mapo Tofu and its nice! I was on a way to get something and saw this shop with no one. I saw on the menu, MAPO TOFU, in a ramen shop? But my cravings got the better of me and I entered and ordered. I ordered the Japanese Mapo tofu. The image looks good. When ordering, the staff check if we wanted spicy or non-spicy. I ordered the spicy one. It came in a claypot liked pot. Even after finishing, the spot where it was, is still warm. The appeal of mapo tofu is the spiciness and the warmness of the sauce. It was indeed a little spicy, for spicy good eater, about 2 minute of spiciness before you get used to it. The sauce itself has meat in it. The warm sauce and the warm rice makes it all the more delicious. Really love it. I ordered kaki furai, it was big and though it looks crispy, it is soft, so its good as theres not overly much flour. Do give the mapo tofu a try.

The ramen is above average in SG, staffs were very friendly, got one signature and one original and both were great! Ramen is chewy, hope the broth could be a bit more heavy and could have offer a bit more noodles but overall is great! Gyoza was friend and we were expecting something lighter, salmon sashimi was better than Gyoza as side dish imho.
