My absolute favourite place to go to for Shanghai fare for years now. Price point is really reasonable. Guotie 锅贴and Chinese pizza are insanely crispy, with generous, juicy fillings. Incredibly delicious. Zhajiangmian 炸酱面 selling point is the soft, seemingly handmade noodles. Soup dumplings 小笼包 are juicy and delicate, but not as great as the guotie or pizza. Hot & sour soup 酸辣汤 is a personal favourite, though some might find it not spicy enough. Red bean pancake also a 10/10 to cap off the meal. Crispy yet chewy exterior, smooth & not to sweet red bean filling. Everything served piping hot! Items you MUST order: pan fried dumplings 锅贴, Chinese pizza & red bean pancake.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Jing Hua Xiao Chi, a Chinese restaurant located at Neil Road near Maxwell MRT. While we usually order their dishes online via Oddle, this time we decided to savor the flavors in the restaurant itself. Our go-to main dishes at Jing Hua Xiao Chi include the Chinese pizza, panfried seafood-pork dumplings, xiao long bao, dou miao, siew mai, and spinach zha jiang noodles. The dumplings are a true delight, boasting a combination of tastiness and juiciness that keeps us coming back for more. Their generous servings of ginger, vinegar, and chilli as dipping sauce enhances the overall taste. And, of course, no visit to Jing Hua Xiao Chi is complete without indulging in their red bean pancake for dessert. The sweetness and crispy-ness of the red bean pancake are truly outstanding, making it a must-order item every time. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and friendly staff only enhance the dining experience. We would recommend making a reservation beforehand, especially on weekends.

Absolutely my favourite place to-go for red bean pancakes! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the side. Also the fried dumplings are one of the best I’ve had - the meat is surprisingly juicy despite its very crisp skin!
