Singapore｜East Ocean Restaurant

Dim sum was generally good, deserving of 5 stars. BUT if I were to compare it to Empire Fine Chinese Cuisine (same level, just next door) some dishes of Empire’s dim sum are better flavoured and ingredients seems of better quality (like the roasted pork belly, duck and char siew. Empire wins hands down!!) Their char siew soh was good! Crispy yet soft, pastry and meat ratio was good! Do not order the fried white bait. It was bland and the batter tasted weird. Service was very efficient and staff were very attentive when you need something - even tho it was full house!

Came here for breakfast. My favourites are fried glutinous rice, char leong (fried fritters dough wrapped in steam rice noodle roll) and their roast pork and duck. It's better to make reservation and all your party need to be present before they let you in because once you ordered, they serve fast and you are expected to leave once you finished and do not linger. There is always a queue even though u made reservation, you still have to wait.

This is the 1st time trying out this restaurant and they didn't disappoint at all. Excellent dim sum and with a great service to boot. The staff are so attentive to our needs. We will surely come back again. Thank you and keep it up management and team of the restaurant 👍 👏
