Had a really enjoyable meal here. Kids loved the shoyu meat and pancake. Bibimbap was excellent as were all the sides which were plentiful, distinct and authentic. Some of the best kimchi I’ve ever tasted.

Food was delicious and authentic. Side dishes were tasty and refillable. The space is small so tables are close to each other. They made sure that we leave at 8pm for our 6.30pm booking. On the pricier side so would have expected at least plain water to be served. I brought my own basmati rice for bibimbap due to diet and they gladly obliged (same price). Service staff are all very busy so service is efficient but not warm.

Reservations required! Bigmama is super popular and crowded. I walked in when they opened for dinner at 5.30pm and was told I only have 1 hour for dinner as they were fully booked from 6.30pm. Luckily they prioritised our orders and served really quickly. The very nice restaurant owners took time to explain how to eat the various dishes, which were so so good. Highly recommend ordering the samgyetang, portion is good for 2-4 pax, the soup was hearty and delicious while the glutinous rice is super yummy and filling. Their refillable banchan was super delicious especially the glass noodles, kimchi and lotus root salad - while they only have 6 dishes, everything was really good and we had a second serving. Suyuk was pretty interesting as well but pales in comparison to the samgyetang. By the time I finished at 6.30pm the restaurant was already full of people. Can’t wait to come again to try the rest of their dishes. Highly recommended! -edit- oh yeah they don’t serve barley tea or water which is weird. And their drinks are not cheap. Bring your own water I guess.
