Singapore｜Mr Prata

We have patronised Mr Prata Evans Road for since "forever". When we would sit in chairs outside under trees with dim lights to when the outside floor was concrete and renovated with tubelights till what it is now - a spacious inside seating. The food has not changed though. Mee Goreng Mutton (in photo) with a egg topping with a side of chicken 65 (in photo) is my absolute favourite If you want to deviate from the traditional egg, cheese, plain prata, the Chip Chop Prata (Chicken) (in photo) is a very good alternative. There are lots of other options that I have not tried. Their Mutton Murtabak , Italian Prata (with mushroom and cheese) are good too. If you are visiting in a group, sharing a few dishes make it quite a cosy affair. Biryanis are not hot or spicy and quite ok. I have been there for breakfast as well and their Nasi lemak was made with basmati rice (separate grains). That was quite unique. Dosas and puri set were good. There are some set meals as well, quite reasonable and come with a lot of food There are actually so many options to choose from! Mr Prata is one of those few casual dining places that does not serve watery iced milo. If you are indulging yourself with sugar, it is very satisfying indeed. For children, they serve generously prepared Milo Dinosaurs and Godzillas The the children have moved from Primary School to jobs and over the years servers have moved in and out. Some have perhaps been there for 10 years now. They are friendly and attentive and the turn around is mostly fast. It is crowded in the evenings though, especially in the weekends when along with player patrons from across the road, families and friends come to eat here too. The best thing about Mr Prata Evans Road is, it is open till very late at night. If for some reason you are hungry at night, this is great place for supper

Been coming here for many many years, a common eating spot for runners after training. The service is always prompt and friendly. Location is great, just across the stadium. Plenty of parking nearby too. Food and drink definitely value for money even though it has increased over the past decade. Thanks Mr Prata! 🙏🏻
