More Comments at Google MapThis French-Thai restaurant is a hidden gem worth a travel from other parts of Singapore to. Being able to order a Thai pork salad alongside a lobster bisque is certainly unusual. Having both dishes (and the rest that we tried) be tasty, makes Farangse a must-return for us. In addition to quality food, the service was absolutely spot-on. We happened to be there for lunch at the same time as a group of 20. Attention to our table and the speed in which our meals were prepared was not at all impacted.
I'm sad that your lease is expiring FEBRUARY 2024. I wish you well in your next establishment in Thailand! Thank you ka for the food and service! (I'll come back again for more food soon! Gotta try your phad thai goong!) Food: 5/5 Amazing, we wiped clean all dishes. SOFT SHELL CRABS in two versions as salad and side, PATE, MARROW, PORK SKEWERS, MANGO STICKY RICE, CREME BRULEE... we could be eating more. :) Service: 5/5 Friendly, attentive, Thai hospitality on! We dived right into the Thai fusion without the je-ne-sais-quoi Ambience: 5/5 Comfortable chairs, wheelchair accessible inside restaurant except for the steps at carpark area. Started off with amicable English pop songs and turned to Thai radio by 9pm. Looking forward to more Thai songs but I guess fusion depends on the concept. Noisy when crowded, somehow the walls bounce sound around very effectively. I found myself raising my voice to speak when a big group moved in next table. Value: Good food with friends- priceless. Alcohol and fresh coconut options available. Blue butterfly pea tea is refreshing. Ok, I'm coming back for more. Want to try your cod and chips, phad Thai, and duck!
Love how the food is cooked just right. The atmosphere and the staffs are friendly and always helpful. We had the escargot, shell of the day (mussel in white wine butter sauce), grilled cod fish, duck confit, fresh oysters and desserts ( creme brûlée, lava cake and apple pie) Honestly the mussels is smaller than expected. They have daily specials, so check them out.
