Singapore｜Yong Kee Seafood Restaurant

Amongst those limited places in Singapore offering this famous JB dish Chao Ta Bee Hoon (San Lou Bee Hoon), my preference is Yong Kee. It is always done to perfection, crispy on the outside, with soft bee Hoon hidden underneath together with seafood and lots of sinful lard bits. Perhaps flavour wise, there are other better ones but none can claim the consistency of quality like Yong Kee. Another dish that I think they do so well is their Stir Fried Bok Choy with Dried Shrimps. This dish has got sweet and crunchy Bok Choy and savoury umami dried shrimps that was deep fried. The third dish I would recommend is they Steamed Chicken Cantonese Style. Tender and sweet from the wolf berries and hint of a Chinese wine, the chicken dish goes so well with rice or by itself. Located in a Kopitiam with limited tables, so come early during meal hours.

Very nice crispy fried beehoon with good matching chili. crispy pork leg well done with refreshing sauce. Salty vegetable tufu soup flavorful.

This stall is in a coffee shop. There are more than 200 items in the menu. Aunty was very friendly, although a bit pushy. We ordered chilli crab, pepper crab, prawn paste chicken, hor fun, crispy meehun, and stir fried vegetables. The food was delicious. We sat at a table on the side road on a balmy evening. We had a most enjoyable time.
