Singapore｜The Upper Room Restaurant & Cafe

A newish restaurant with great lunch options. There is a set lunch menu which comes with a side and drink. I got the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, wonton chips and coke zero. I was surprised to see the chicken was fried karage but honestly it was so good and something I wish I could order back home. I was the only patron at the restaurant. While this meant I had a personal chef for my meal .. this place should be bumping considering how good it was. The place felt a bit cluttered inside with the setup for a live stage being pushed aside to one wall. I had a semi hard time finding this place.. mostly because the sign is on the second floor and being called "The Upper Room" I incorrectly was looking for it on the second floor of the building. It is indeed located right in the corner of the building below the sign! This might only be a me problem though..

What I like: - the taste of gyudon! There’s something different about it with the mushroom and some sauce. - they have live music on a Saturday lunch, don’t know the schedule tho - the ambiance, it feels huge inside - have a lot of options for skewers but only available 530pm onwards What I don’t like: - the brownie wasn’t what I expected. It was like a cake? The vanilla ice cream also tasted different. I don’t think this dessert is worth it

We celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday here on 2 separate weekends and it was a wonderful experience. The food was great (I still have friends, family and colleagues raving about the aglio olio and their breaded cauliflower) and the staff tirelessly continued cooking throughout to ensure there was always a fresh, hot serving for guests. The venue is also very comfortably spacious - people could still mingle about and still has space for a photo wall. Above all, Wyman is one of the best, most accommodating, and patient event and floor managers we've had the pleasure to work with. Beyond events, we also dined here and loved the sliders and yakitori. Would return for future events AND dinners!
