Singapore｜Ambush

Visited - 16/09/23 Dropped by as I wanted to try German pork knuckles. Portion was very generous for the pork knuckle [half]. The skin was very crispy and the creamy mushroom sauce and pickled vegetables condiments helped to enhance the taste of the pork knuckle. Even without the condiments, it tasted great by itself; juicy and crispy. Ordered the Calamari and it came with very rich tomato sauce, giving a kick to the taste of the calamari. Quite fresh too, a firm bite will go through. A good visit if you want to try some classic German dishes!

The oxtail was so tender that it literally melted in my mouth. Fried calamari was so juicy and fresh. Enjoyed the few slices of roasted pork knuckle with crispy skin in Oktoberfest Platter. The sausage casing was quite chewy 🫤 I love their creamy buttered mashed potato. It’s really yummy! Spanish churros were not my type.

Food is quite good and affordable here compared to many other restaurants. Serving size was quite generous also. My only comment would be that the shredded cabbage with Japanese sesame dressing could be improved on. Perhaps a house made lemon vinagrette would be better.
