Singapore｜Jack's Place Toa Payoh

Foodwise is typical Jack's Place standard - reasonably good. Nice ambience. Spacious. Staff members are pleasant and attentive. We came here on a Friday evening and the place is half full. We had originally wanted to eat at Jack's Place Clementi but the place was packed and the manager kjndly told us the wait for the food was at least 45 minutes. Because we were travelling to Bishan, we decided to visit this Jack's Place at Toa Payoh instead. We ordered a black pepper steak and fire steak, topped up as a set and bought escargot for the special price of $9.90. Overall a very good experience.

This outlet in Toa Payoh is unlike the usual Jack's Place outlets, especially the now defunct outlet in Woodlands Civic Centre. The service crew is attentive and courteous, with prompt service. The food is also seemingly better, with the steak and chicken very well marinated and tender. The topping for the baked potato, in particular the bacon chips is fresh and crispy. Will definitely revisit.

Homely restaurant that’s a family favorite. Mushroom soup @$5.80 was served with warm garlic butter bread. Kid’s meal was fish and chips @$8, enough for a small eater. It comes with a cup of apple juice and end off with a scoop of ice cream! Always a crowd pleaser. Chicken steak came sizzling on a hot plate and potato topped with yummy sour cream, bacon bits and green onions! The service was prompt and polite. Overall, a place we enjoy good food and service with family.
