We had 10 pax for a birthday celebration. They gave us a room with karaoke from 1 to 3 pm. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good except for the noodles

Tried the high tea dim sum buffet from 3-5pm. Best to make a reservation and arrive early to secure your seats. Was told by the staff to arrive earlier so we could be seated before the start of the buffet dining. There was a huge variety of steamed and fried dim sum to choose from. Service was swift with constant flow of food from push carts going around table to table. The staff were attentive and friendly to request and orders. It's a really worthwhile dining experience.

Came here yesterday evening for dinner for 4 pax. As I sat down to order food I ordered dessert first telling the person who took the order yam paste with ginko nuts as our dessert and to come later. But I was unaware that she placed an order for 1 small bowl for 1 pax. Thankful that Swatow has a great and wonderful staff, Lai Sim, who passed by my table and noted my order slip. Now the order slip was placed far away from me (next to my guest) and I was unaware. She then tactfully and promptly asked me (before the dessert of 1 small bowl came) whether I order for 1 pax. She was professional, proactive and sensitive to customers' needs. She must have felt it was unreasonable for us to order 1 small bowl of dessert for 4 pax. (That makes me wonder why the first person who took our order did not even bother to ask or clarify). I am very thankful for Lai Sim, for she is someone who is proud of her job and willing to ask and check with customers so that we will have a pleasant and nice dining experience at Swatow. She took the extra mile to clear up and took action before that small bowl of dessert appear. Well, it did but she quickly came to our rescue and told the waitress to return as she had cancel and a bigger bowl of dessert that is sufficient for the 4 of us had been placed by her. She took ownership and is reliable. She made this nearly disastrous dining experience and recover it so fast that I was very impressed by her positive attitude, her experience and her tactfulness.
