Singapore｜Marina Bistro

Tried: Bacon Carbonara with Tobiko, Seafood Laksa, Nasi Goreng Istimewa, Chicken Wings (6 Pcs), Marina Breeze Comments: An alfresco setting bistro at the Raffles Marina yacht club that serves local, Western and Indian cuisine. Besides having nice food, it is also a nice place to sit down and have a few drinks. The carbonara is creamy and savoury with the addition of parmesan cheese and poached egg. The creamy sauce tastes good and only gets surfeiting at the end. The bacon is not too salty and soft, the mushrooms are also well sauteed. The laksa is lacking in flavours due to the broth, other than that the ingredients are pretty standard. The nasi goreng is tasty, the satay is tender and well marinated. The fried chicken pieces are also tender and well seasoned. The sambal prawns are fresh and the sambal goes well with the rice. Chicken wings are well marinated, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. A good appetizer to start the meal. The marina breeze is a coconut flavoured mocktail that is both refreshing and delicious to drink. Highly recommend getting this when you are beating the heat! It is slightly out of place but the food is fantastic. The nasi briani is top notch and the nasi lemak istimera is very nice. Non member pricing is higher than member's price but is nothing outrageous. Membership does have it's privileges. We will always go for Ice Kachang or Chendo for desert. Their fish and chips is really good, didn't regret following their recommendation! Everything was fried till golden and not a single fry was overfried... the only setback is that place is too warm for lunch...
