Very reasonable price for such good food! The steamed ginger fish head, fried long beans+brinjals & braised yam pork are all delicious & very tasty. Located in the Ulu Pudu which boasts a host of good restaurants, this Chuan Kee Hakka restaurant is indeed outstanding and I hope they keep the prices reasonable forever.

A family-operated Hakka restaurant in an old area of town. Lamb Brisket in Claypot is a must-order. The lamb is tender and not gamey. Stir-fried Long Bean & Eggplant with Dry Shrimp may sound simple, but the aroma of the dried shrimp will make you asking for more rice. Stew Deep Fried Pork with Black Fungus is a Hakka staple, but I'm not wow-ed by it. Steamed Grass Carp with Ginger is well-executed, but the fish is a little earthy. Can br crowded, but the turnover is pretty quick. Air-conditioning available.
