Tanjung Karang, Selangor, Malaysia｜Hai Shang Ren Seafood Restaurant

First visit here on Merdeka day for lunch. Was almost totally disappointed when we were told that there wasn't going to be any squid that day, and a few other things we had wanted to try were not available! The waiter who attended to us was very accomodating and he kept going back and forth to the kitchen to check with the crew if what we wanted were available for the day, and I'm so glad that we stayed (we almost left) to try out their amazing dishes. The highlights was the squid (we had 2 plates), and the duck (must order!). My personal favorite was the shrimp paste chicken wings beside those two mentioned. The coconut water was really good and refreshing as well. The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived at around 12pm, but filled up soon after. Ample spacing and very very nice ambience by the sea. We sat at the Al fresco section and though it was a hot day it felt cooling under the shade. We will definitely come back to visit this place! This is a pork free restaurant.

Great place to have a meal while looking at the sea. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The squid was fresh and grilled perfectly. Seafood spicy noodles was good for those who loved Mee mamak. The salted pepper and sweet sour fish was another great combo to try. Worth the price for a good meal and great view. It’s a “pork free” seafood restaurant.

Foods are delicious. Atmosphere is great! However, if the fish should be keep heated by candle, it will be awesome!
