We wanted some meat for Saturday lunch so we went to Butcher’s Block is a neighbourhood butcher Come restaurant with decently priced and friendly staff. : - Lamb cutlet 275g @ RM80 (9/10) - Argentinian Ribeye 245g @ RM130 (10/10) - Foie Gras 50g @ RM25 (9/10) - Spanish Bone Marrow 365g @ RM64 (6/10) - Pesto Pasta @ RM27 (7/10) - Lamb Burger @ RM38 (9/10) - 2 glasses of house wine @ RM54 (8/10) Overall, Butcher’s Block’s raw ingredients & preparation are good. The only dish we didn’t think was worthwhile was the Spanish Bone Marrow. It wasn’t anything to do with Butcher’s Block’s preparation. In my opinion, the Spanish bone marrow costs a little too high for very little satisfaction. If you want a nice juicy meaty steak, give their Argentinian Ribeye a try, it is probably one of the best we’ve had in KL. Highly recommend to paired with a glass of red wine. We’ll be back for more Argentinian Ribeye!

We ordered wagu MB7 strip-loin (top of picture), which had 15% discount offer. We also ordered Australian grass fed ribeye, so we could compare the taste (bottom of the picture). We asked for medium rare, and that is what we go. The mean is grilled on charcoals and not flattop, which is a good thing. Malbec from Argentina at 120rm per bottle is a very good deal, but even by the glass is good a value. While all sides were good, I would definitely recommend the beetroots and the cauliflower cream with truffle oil. I couldn’t try the cheesy spinach dip and the other one with avocado cause they were out of it. If you like a good grilled steak that doesn’t need any sauce and melts in your mouth, this is the place to go if you don’t layback dining.

If you love top quality, fresh meat, then this THE place. The meat selection (no pork) is excellent, with all cuts and many origins available. The kitchen will prepare your selection just as you wish. Not only did I enjoy the in-dining experience, I also bought some take-away pieces to eat at home. The set up is a little austere as befits a "butchers block" but the staff are super nice and, although not extensive, the wine list was fine to pair with our steak and chop selections. No complaints, only recommendations.
