First off, this uncle is such a pleasant, polite and friendly man! Not an ounce of arrogance despite being so popular. Truly admirable! As for his char kway teow, it’s one of the classic renditions still available. More on the moist side, slightly sweet, a good amount of tasty crispy pork lard but not too much of the lard oil, which is good because it doesn’t feel so sinful. Really good for cockle fans! Best eaten there.

Uncle is so sweet! He opened the stall a little early at around 4pm because there was already a "sitting" queue on a Saturday. Usually, he says it's around 5pm. It's totally worth the craze- wok hey Kway Teow with crispy lard and delicious cockles. Only 1 size portion - $5 and max 10 per order. If you are done, you can return the empty plate to the grey bin and the chopsticks to the smaller green bin. Uncle also does his stall preparation is secret with the binds down. 😂

Prepare for 1.5h queue. Uncle cooks plate by plate so each person about 10mins on average. One of the best CKTs I ever had in sg and is on the wet side. Pork lard very crispy and fragrant, stock used is sufficient. 1 size only at $5. The queue is too long for me to eat this again tho
