Singapore｜Dong Ji Fried Kway Teow

One of my favourites for the past decade. The Kway Teow is the dry type but fried well with the Char taste. They also given prawn, egg and Si-ham at decent portions. Only downside is that they cool dish by dish so its only for patient people. Cant understand why got so many negative ratings...

Not sure why all the 3 stars rating. I love my plate of CKT from this stall! Fragrant and wok hei gao gao… infused with hints of “hum” flavour. Just the kind of not so sweet CKT I like. Not too wet too, lovely. I was there around 6pm. Stall was manned by an old aunty. No queue and I got a rather big portion for $4. Definitely a better plate of CKT than the other famous one in the same HC… at least in my book.😁

Superb Char Kway Teow in Old Airport Road (OAR) market. Cooked well and served with generous portions of seafood. There is always a long queue so get ready to wait but it is more than worth it. Easily one of the best CKT in SG. The noodles are well cooked and the wok hey taste is strong. The seafood is huge and yummy. Each mouthful of CKT is just bursting with flavour. Alot of CKT stalls in SG are cooked subpar and the noodles are not well coated. Dong Ji CKT cooks their noodle evenly. For a $4/5 meal this really makes a good deal. The stall had been run by the dad for the longest time but now the daughter has taken over. As a second gen hawker the daughter is very friendly and attentive. Can only imagine how tough it is to stand the entire day frying in such a hot environment so I am extremely grateful that she has taken up the mantle from her father. Go visit and support local hawkers!
