This was a great recommendation and some fantastic food. It was definitely a local hangout and the team there were very friendly. The white pepper crab was sensational and the local fried rice. It's more or less outdoor but covered dining with fans and no Aircon which in a way adds to the experience. On the way to the bathrooms you'll walk past the tanks of live crabs, fish, razor clams and frogs!

Always driven past here but never really got the chance to try this restaurant out. Tonight the stars align and I finally got my chance! Hands down the best Steamed Wild-Caught Mud Crab I’ve ever had! The meat was so dense, solid and tight. Prawns were alright but nothing as special as the Shark’s fin….the Shark’s fin soup was on point and was the Star dish of the night. By far the best Shark’s fin soup I’ve ever had in my life, the soup had slabs of genuine crab meat inside, and the fins were thick and crunchy, the soup’s texture was also really good and flavorful. Bamboo clams were really good as well and cooked with vermicelli and HK style soy sauce. Their Yang Zhou Chao fan was not bad, with the hei bee hiam that really elevates the flavor of the rice. The Marble Goby (Soon Hock) was very fresh, sweet and flaky. This HK style is the usual we see in Chinese weddings. Sweet sour pork was good. Truly a great and eye-opening seafood experience. Prices here are also quite alright I guess given the quality…this sort of dining is mainly reserved for celebrations or company dinners. I see myself coming here maybe once or twice a year for something special!

Although on the pricier side, this place is a must-try for their world-famous White Pepper Crab. I would strongly recommend to opt to add noodles/vermicelli to the white pepper crab. Do give their Chilli Crab a try as well as it is another dish well-known to Singapore! Despite the high turnover and overall busy-ness, the staff are still very responsive. You can also checkout the live seafood too if you’re interested.
