Singapore｜Yong Fa Hainanese Curry Rice & Curry Fish Head

This Hainanese curry rice stall perpetually has a long queue. I decided to join the line one day, and I’ve since had 3 meals in a row here. The dishes suit my taste — very tasty, fresh, not oily, good variety, nice hardworking family manning the stall. So far my meals have been $6+, $8+ and $10.20 today (rice with big piece of Salmon, curry chicken wing with potato, and vegetables). Yum yum yum. Absolutely value for money for the items I chose. It’s very hard work running this good business; you can see it looking at them. The senior aunties are obviously good cook at home n it showed in the home-taste meals I’ve had so far. This stall is at Clementi 448 Market & Food Centre. Closed on Sat & Sun.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ UPDATE: I’m having lunch here now, 4 days in a row. This time my very full plate (see pic) has 3 types of veg + curry chicken wing with potato. Price $5+ only. Prices are v reasonable. Expect to pay more if u order fish or sambal squid (whole squid); that’s to be expected n justified. Really love the freshly cooked, tasty n nutritious meals I’ve had here so far. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ 2ND UPDATE: Was disappointed with the small size of the fried prawn for $3/pc. Also disappointed with the too-thin slice of the pork chop (another person also commented on this). Otherwise, still happy with my meals here.

Nothing beats simplicity. The curry rice is simple but yet tasty. Most dishes I ordered are not overwhelmingly flavoured. Curry chicken is soft, and the braise pork belly is not too salty. $14 for 2 pax, 2 meats, and 1 veggie is not cheap, but I think it's worth it.

Long queue snaking as early before lunch hour. Had a plate of rice with the squid, cabbage with bean sprouts and curry fish. Very fresh ingredients and well prepared. Seller also very friendly. Very satisfying meal.
