Had dinner for 4, ordered Assam fish (red snapper), sambal sotong, shrimp, petai, stir fry kangkong and omelet with onions. Get a seat, go to the front counter to choose the fish and other food. Menu listed in Chinese character is displayed out. Can ask them for recommendation if you're unsure what to order. Overall food was prepared quite fast, the assam fish is not so sour compared to others. I quite like it, while I'm not usually a fan of assam stuff. Not too spicy as well. Petai was quite little and that sotong shrimp dish was quite spicy and a little expensive too. Is a neighbourhood shop, was full during dinner.

Try Sotong Petai! Still among the best places to get Asam Fish. My personal favorite and highly recommended. Relatively cheap good seafood here: the signature is asam fish. I was happy to find the tongue fish which was a household fish. Petai sotong or squid and green vegetable were the other two dishes we ordered. This is one of the popular Asam Fish restaurants in Muar.
