Been enjoying this nasi lemak since the 70s. Havent change much, tasted about the same, everytime bought. Large portion of awesome rice which does not stick to each other since its cooked using steam method, hence the name nasi lemak kukus. The sotong and ayam goreng is a must try. Its open in the morning and at dusk manned by different family members. Always a line if you happened to come on a busy time 👍

Cheap, tasty, big portion and kids-friendly Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng w/ Xtra rice for only RM7.50 and it is cheaper w/ Curry Ayam still Damn honest price The ayam goreng texture and taste also very good even for breast meat, not that kind of super dried wood powdery style meat like most other places and the ikan bilis is almost like silver anchovies type Most importantly the rice is still hot after you tapau back home and the sambal itself is not the stomach-burning "Mala spicy" type, together w/ kuah campur, it has the kick that makes you go back and get it everytime Prefer this over Tanglin as well (for me Tanglin no kick unfortunately) Not too much lauk but you can get: ayam goreng, daging, sotong, rendang As Ampangite, this is the best nasi lemak in the area and I'm grateful that good food that is cheap and big portion like this is still around in today's economy But better go early otherwise be prepared to park further away and queue for at least 15-20mins (the queue gets longer but no regret and totally worth it) p/s: this is roadside nasi lemak, not inside any shop

This place has been around since I was a kid. Lots of choices from Ayam Goreng Rempah to Sambal Sotong and Rendang Ayam. Multiple choices for Kuih too. The sambal is not too spicy with a little tinge of lime in it. Open from 7am to 12pm for morning session and 5pm until 10pm for night session. For night sessions however they only have Fried Eggs, Ayam Rempah and Sambal Sotong. The price is significantly expensive yet still within budget. Do come to experience the nasi lemak no other place can offer. A living legend in Ampang
