More Comments at Google MapTravelled from Singapore on a weekday night to give it a try for my supper after seeing it on tiktok. Google reviews don't seem so promising but I'm a firm believer of try first then be the judge. First, the ambiance is nice and chill and quiet with 3/4 of the tables available taken. Not noisy, but there's chill music being played lah so very chill also. My perspective is very homemade, chill, kampung style where only locals come which is nice for me cause as a foreigner, I hate crowded, noisy and overpriced food places. So if u want chill place, this is the place to chill for supper. Service was fast for me. Called the server for the menu, chose our food, took down and sent in our orders in under 6-7 minutes? Food served under 10mins which is decent. Okay food review time. Ordered Nasi Lemak with fried chicken, 2 teh o ice & Chicken+Beef satay. Paid total abt RM30 for a simple two pax meal. There's other food options like sup tulang, fried rice lah, kueh teow lah, many many diff kind of food apart from just only nasi lemak as what the name of the place suggests. Nasi Lemak - 4/5 The interesting thing for me is that the rice is wrapped with the omelette in a similar fashion to how nasi pattaya is served but in this case is nasi lemak pattaya. The 'lemak-ness' in the rice is there and satisfactory, served hot. Sambal provided is sufficient, and more towards the sweet and slightly spicy tasting which I like. So those who prefers extra spicy and less sweet sambal, this is not for you lah. The fried chicken is decently seasoned but a lil dissapointed that it's cold (probably mass fried and left as the side ready to he served instead of frying upon order). It's not lame textured nor very crispy textured but just nice to my liking. Chicken satay - 3/5 Beef satay - 5/5 Peanut sauce - 3.5/5 Lamb satay is available but I didn't order so can't give my opinion on that. Chicken satay is thick so really value for money. Seasoning is niceee on the outside, but as you bite into it, the seasoning don't seem to penetrate it deeply. Maybe if the chicken is slightly thinner, the flavours would be even out. Beef satay is BRILLIANT. I looove it cause its like one stick has 3 portion of meat, placed in the order of meat-fats-meat. Flavourful, seasoning is power and the fatttssssss just melts in your mouth with the flavours bursting. Would reccomend eating the beef satay as a whole rather than bit by bit. The peanut sauce is alright is guess. Nothing special. The peanut sauce served cold ah probably if its warm would taste nicer. Teh O Ice is teh o ice. Nothing can go wrong with that drink. Its nice. Overall, I would fairly and holistically rate it 5/5 on google review cause I feel the price, service and the food fits the atmosphere/location/vibes. Go down and give it a try my Singaporean friends! I approve! Time to get away from the usual crowded foodplaces (like benafe village😀) where many other singaporeans go 🤣 Can park your vehicle inside compound or outside compound which is at the side of the road where your vehicle would be visible if you're concerned.
The coconut rice was rich with flavour, the sambal was superb. Combined with fresh fried chicken bring back the old memories. Super satisfaction.
